Our California Facility is Opening SoonFresno, California is the home of our second satellite production facility. We will start production in Fresno in the early part of October. It is owned and operated entirely by WHCC for the production of WHCC orders in the western part of the United States. This fall, production will be limited to just Press Printed Products with the first quarter of 2010 bringing photographic production fully operational. Our satellite facilities in Texas and California, along with our Headquarters in Minnesota, allow us to better serve our client base with increased capacity and quicker turnaround times. Most of our clients in California, from San Diego and Los Angeles up through the Bay area, will get their press orders a day earlier as UPS delivers ground packages overnight to almost the entirety of California from Fresno. There is no need to do anything differently with your orders as we will automatically route the appropriate orders to the California facility. You may notice some of your Press Printed Product orders listing UPS Ground as the shipping method, while your photographic orders list UPS 2-day. UPS Ground shipping on the Press Printed orders means your order is being produced in California and will still arrive at your studio within two shipping days after leaving our facility.

FSC and Recycled Papers | |
WHCC is now a fully certified Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) printer! With our own chain-of-custody certification complete, we have completed the extensive on-location audits and paperwork proving we properly handle and account for FSC certified products. Only printers with a FSC chain-of-custody certificate can claim the papers they use are FSC certified. FSC is an organization established to promote the responsible management of the world's forests. It sets high standards for forestry management to be environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable. FSC certified products are independently certified to assure users that they come from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations. At WHCC, two of our press printed papers are FSC certified and contain recycled content. Art Recycled is a FSC certified paper made from 100% post-consumer waste and Standard Semi-Gloss is FSC certified and contains 50% recycled content (40% pre-consumer and 10% post-consumer). Our Art Recycled and Standard Semi-Gloss papers can be ordered with any of our press printed cards or products including flat cards, folded cards, bookmarks, business cards, and rep cards.

Open House at our Texas Facility | |
Our Texas facility has been fully operational with Photo and Press production for a few months and we are ready to open the doors for all see! As a smaller version of our Eagan Headquarters, the Texas facility is 26,000 square feet with complete photo and press production systems, along with our automated shipping system. We invite you and your staff to join us Saturday, September 19th from Noon to 3:00pm at our Mesquite, Texas facility. The WHCC gang will be on hand to welcome you to our Texas facility and provide tours. If you're going to be at the Texas PPA Convention in Arlington the weekend of September 19th, come see our Texas facility! Have a few hors d'oeuvres and visit with us for the afternoon! The lab is only 30 minutes away and we'd love to have you!
